45 Riots is a collective of energetic, positive-minded New York City-based musicians. It is an inner circle of veteran performers who have come up together entrenched in the scene, paying dues for years, night after night, churning passion and sweat into art for audiences in nightclubs around the city.
Our musicians have toured together around the globe, sharing the stage with legendary artists as diverse as Stevie Wonder, Sting, Prince, Chaka Khan, Alicia Keys, Adele, Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent, Missy Elliot, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Dave Matthews Band, Shaggy, Maxi Priest, Bebel Gilberto, Les Nubians, De La Soul, Jamiroquai, Wynton Marsalis, the Headhunters, Dave Valentine, Spyro Gyra, and numerous others.
45 Riots musicians have played to audiences in the tens of thousands at arenas like Madison Square Garden, at international festivals like the Montreal Jazz Festival and Rock in Rio, and regularly at esteemed local venues such as the Blue Note, Carnegie Hall, Dizzy’s at Lincoln Center, Jazz Standard, BB King’s, Highline Ballroom, City Winery, Le Poisson Rouge, Zinc Bar, Cafe Wha, Village Underground, Groove, Red Lion, Terra Blues, Billie's Black, Bitter End, NuBlu, Rockwood Music Hall, and many more.
Television appearances include the Voice, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Late Show with David Letterman, the Today Show, Saturday Night Live, BET, the Grammy Awards, and the NFL Halftime Show, just to name a few.
Our musicians have also assumed the role of musical director, producer, arranger, and composer, and have even won Grammy awards.
